Resource in a folder

Resource in a folder

A resource is a data object produced by a scenario in a data lab. Once shared to the Space, it appears in a folder where you can consult it. This page describes what you see on a resource's detail page and the actions available from its menu.

The resource and its views

A resource stores raw data (for example a table stored as CSV). That data can be rendered through one or more views — the same table can be shown as a table, a scatter plot, and so on. Opening a resource displays it directly on the detail page.

The detail page header shows the resource's icon and name, its tags, and, when set, an expiration date after which the resource is no longer available. You can collapse the header to give the content more room, and expand it again at any time.

Renaming a resource

With edit rights, click the resource name in the header to rename it directly in place.

Action menu

Open the action menu from the resource to reach the following actions.

  • Open resource — open the resource's detail page (also for applications).
    • Open resource in a new tab — always available; opens the resource in a new browser tab via its access URL.

With edit rights, the menu also offers the common folder actions:

      • Manage tags — add or remove tags on the resource.
        • Move to folder — move the resource to another folder.
          • Move to trash — send the resource to the trash.
