Note in a folder
A note is a rich-text document created and edited in the data lab, then synced to your Space where it appears inside a folder. In the Space a note is read-only: you consult it, browse its version history, and share it, but you cannot edit its content here.
Beyond text and images, a note's content can embed resource views (for example a table rendered as a table or a scatter plot) and forms, so the note reads as a live report of the work done in the lab.
Viewing a note
Opening a note displays its full rich-text content in read-only mode, with the breadcrumb showing where it sits in the folder tree and its tags shown alongside. Embedded resource views and forms are rendered inline as they were in the lab.
The action menu
The action menu gathers everything you can do with a note from the Space. The note-specific entries are:
- Associated scenarios — opens a dialog listing the scenarios linked to this note, so you can trace the note back to the pipeline executions it documents.
- History — opens a read-only version-history panel where you can review previous versions of the note. Since the note is read-only in the Space, history is for consultation only, not for restoring or editing.
With edit rights, the menu also offers the actions common to hierarchy objects:
- Manage tags — add or remove tags on the note.
- Move to folder — move the note to another folder in the tree.
- Tokens / share — create a shareable public link to the note.
- Move to trash — send the note to the trash.
