Notifications

Notifications keep you informed about activity happening across your Space. Most notifications come from your folders — a new chat message, a change to a folder, a new or updated note, scenario or document, and more. They are surfaced in one place so you can catch up on everything that matters to you without opening each folder.

The notifications panel

Open the notifications panel from the bell icon in the Space. It lists your most recent notifications, newest first, and loads more as you scroll. Each entry shows who triggered it, a short description, an icon for the object it relates to (folder, note, scenario, document, message, lab or user) and how long ago it happened.

An unread notification is marked with a dot. Click a notification to open the related object — doing so also marks it as read. Some notifications open an external link in a new tab instead.

Reading and clearing

  • Open a notification — click it to jump to the related object; it is marked as read automatically.
    • Mark all as read — use the Mark all as read link at the top of the panel to clear the unread state on everything at once.

Choosing what you get notified about

You control your own notifications per folder. On a root folder, use the Configure notifications action to choose, for each type of activity, whether you want notifications, emails, both, or nothing. Your choices apply to that folder and its sub-folders, and only affect you — every user sets their own preferences.

For each activity you can pick one of: Notifications and emails, Only notifications, Only emails, or None. Click Save to apply your preferences.
