Global search

Global search

Global search lets you look across your whole Space at once, instead of browsing folder by folder. It searches every object you have access to in all folders and returns them in a single result list, showing where each object lives.

What you can search

Global search spans all folders you can access and every type of object they contain:

  • Folders and sub-folders
    • Documents (uploaded files)
      • Constellab documents (rich-text documents authored in the Space)
        • Notes
          • Scenarios
            • Resources
              • Applications

                How to search

The search form sits at the top of the results page. Type in the search field (labelled Search in all folders) and combine it with the filters below. Results update as you refine your criteria.

                Searching with tags

Objects can carry tagskey/value labels used to classify and find them. Filter by a specific tag (for example a given key and value) to narrow results, or match every object that carries a given key regardless of its value.

                Reading the results

Each result row shows the object with:

                • its name and type icon
                  • the owner (user)
                    • the last modified date
                      • its tags
                        • its parent folder, so you can see where it lives

Click a row to preview an object, double-click to open it, or right-click for its actions menu (open, move, share and more, depending on the object).
