Space management overview
Space management is the administration area for your current space. It is where a space is governed: its members, the labs and folders it contains, its teams, and its overall activity. You reach it from the Current space page, which shows the space name and a navigation bar of tabs.
The tabs you see depend on your space role. Every member is a space admin, user or visitor, and space admins see more tabs than other members because they administrate the whole space.
The tabs
The Current space page groups administration into tabs. The table below shows each tab and who can see it.
The Users tab is the default landing tab and is the one tab available to every member. All the other tabs are restricted to space admins.
Space roles
Space roles are assigned in Space management → Users. Each member of the space holds exactly one role:
- Space admin — administrates the space and can do everything in it, with read/edit access to all of its objects (folders, labs, teams). Each space must have at least one admin.
- User — a normal space member who can create and manage folders, labs and teams.
- Visitor — read-only access to the space and its folders. A visitor does not require an active enterprise licence.
Space types
A space is one of two types, which affects how many members it can have:
- Personal space — every user gets one by default. It can have at most 3 space users.
- Enterprise space — no invite limit, but each user requires an Enterprise licence.
Where to go next
Each tab has its own page. From the Space management area you can open:
- Users — manage the members of the space and assign their space roles.
- Labs — manage the labs that belong to the space.
- Folders — review the folders in the space.
- Space dashboard — get an overview of the space.
